F-16 Complete!!!

Yeah I'm finished except for the sealant. I used a pack of paper from Michael's called Slab III (had it in my stash) and some white wallpaper I had around. Lots of squares and triangles needed to be cut but it was fun. The quilt pattern is called The Ohio Star. Thought it was fitting since the F-16 is a star invention of Dayton, OH. I didn't want replicate that on the back so I just used a series of triangles from the leftover paper for the bottom of the plane. Thanks for looking.

What I've been working on

I haven't been here forever because of the craziness of the end of year school, too much work, getting ready for my DD's graduation and the above F-16. The place I work, K12 Gallery, was commissioned to find 50 artists in Dayton and the surrounding area to decorate the fiberglass airplanes so that they can be displayed throughout the city this summer. I took one on. Here is the before picture. They are about 5 feet tall and 3 feet at the wingspan. It's been fun. Completed project coming soon.

MPS Challenge

Robyn at My Pink Stamper posted a challenge for pink, green and black. I thought of my daughter's graduation coming up and all those cards I better get to making. One of her friends loves butterflies and they sure mark the start of something new. So I made a graduation card with the Straight from the Nest cart. The butterfly is on page 32. I used the base, shift and layer for the top butterfly cut at 3". I used the phrase and phrase shift cut at 2 1/2". The green swirl is cut from the phrase shift on page 31. The stickled swirls are from the inside of the butterfly wings. The stamp "dare to dream" is from studio g. I added a green strip inside the card. This strip has the negative of the swirl on the front. All card stock from Recollections.

Wicked/Cuttlebug Blog

I
I had the great fortune to have Wicked come to town. It was an amazing show and I had to scrap all that I had seen somehow. I used my ticket, pieces from the program and pics I had found on-line. I created a pocket to hold cast information and the music titles. I used real clock hands from a clearance clock at a home store. Of course all Wicked clocks strike 13. The paper I believe is from Bo Bunny Gears line. The cricut cuts are from PDDU. You probably can't tell but the OZ sign is swirled. I felt this fit the challenge at Cuttlebug Blog perfectly because all wicked witches are green ;.}

Cuttlebug Challenge

The challenge this week at Cuttlebug Challenge was to create an Easter themed item using your favorite rubber stamp and a cuttlebug folder. I had just received the Easter cartridge and fell in love with the bite-in-the-ear bunny. I used a swirl stamp from Autumn Leaves swirls v:I to decorate the brown and blue egg with the third egg coming from the Easter cart along with the big scalloped version. This egg I used the With Gratitude embossing folder and will hold a cute egg hunt picture cut with center point of my five year old.
