Christmas Cookies

I made these cute little boxes for my daughter to give to her friends filled with cookies. They turned out so cute. Cuts from the From My Kitchen, Christmas Noel?and Winter Woodland carts. I used the boxes from the corsages that the girl's got for the homecoming dance.

Enjoy the Journey

I made this card following two challenges this week. The first is SPCC #23. The color combination was Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Yoyo Yellow and Not Quite Navy. The second is BITTEN by the Bug where the challenge was to use the bird from Storybook and think spring. My bird is early spring with snow still on the Winter Woodland branch. Paper by Scribble Scrabble "Rockin' Robin" and DCWV. The flowers are from Making Memories 5th ave Elizabeth collection.

Challenges-Penguin Bling

This weekend I tried to involve 4 challenges into one card. Bitten by the Bug wanted you to use the penguin from Joys of the Season. Just Buggin' Challenge 10 was to bling up a die cut so I glittered the penguins"jacket", nose, feet and gave him a fancy scarf(he stole it from the bear on the same key in Joys of the Season). Scrapsketch Card Sketch #8 was the layout inspiration. And Doodle Palace wanted a card for a young boy. What boy doesn't like penguins. I'll save it for my 4 year old who unfortunately has a holiday birthday. Snowflakes on corners cut from glitter paper with Winter Woodland Layers p. 68. Sorry black card laying on black desk. ooops

Winter Layout

SPColorCombos blog had a challenge (Color Combo #21) using burgundy, Ruby red and caramel. I had to wrap my mind around two reds being dominant in a layout but I finally got it. I think they turned out cute. I made a two page layout but either could stand alone. The cuts were from the Winter Woodland cartridge. The mittens were pop-dotted on page 1 and the snowflakes on page 2. The BRRR sentiment could easily be turned into another photo mat. I love that snowman. He and the snowflakes were cut from glitter paper.

Scrapsketch Challenge #7

Stephanie at Scrapsketch.com had a really cute card sketch this week so I thought I would give it a try. The paper is Scribble,Scrabble "Lullaby of Birdland" - Rockin Robin. The bird was cut using Winter Woodland and the ovals from Plantin SchoolBook.
