Wicked/Cuttlebug Blog

I
I had the great fortune to have Wicked come to town. It was an amazing show and I had to scrap all that I had seen somehow. I used my ticket, pieces from the program and pics I had found on-line. I created a pocket to hold cast information and the music titles. I used real clock hands from a clearance clock at a home store. Of course all Wicked clocks strike 13. The paper I believe is from Bo Bunny Gears line. The cricut cuts are from PDDU. You probably can't tell but the OZ sign is swirled. I felt this fit the challenge at Cuttlebug Blog perfectly because all wicked witches are green ;.}

Cuttlebug Challenge

The challenge this week at Cuttlebug Challenge was to create an Easter themed item using your favorite rubber stamp and a cuttlebug folder. I had just received the Easter cartridge and fell in love with the bite-in-the-ear bunny. I used a swirl stamp from Autumn Leaves swirls v:I to decorate the brown and blue egg with the third egg coming from the Easter cart along with the big scalloped version. This egg I used the With Gratitude embossing folder and will hold a cute egg hunt picture cut with center point of my five year old.

Create a Womanly Themed Project

This should be easy right? I am a woman! Well it wasn't. Probably because I am always kid oriented in my scrapping. Just Buggin' was a challenge. Card stock and paper is from my stash. The cute dress and word art was cut from the Paisley cart. There are so many cute things on this cart. Butterfly stamp was from my friends stash.

SPCC #40/Sketchy Thursdays

Can't believe how long it has been since I have posted. But I went to a crop over the weekend to get myself back into the swing. Samantha at SPCC had a cool color combo for Challenge #40 and I thought of Hawaii right away. I've never been but my daughter went last year with her high school swim team. I also went to Sketchy Thursdays to get some layout motivation. The paper was part of stash that I had along with the frame. I painted the wavy chip board brown then sprayed orange Tattered Angels on it. Flowers and buttons from Making Memories. Hawaii is from Life's a Beach cart. Thanks ladies for the inspiration.

Bon Voyage

Just Buggin' posted a challenge #27 to use a card feature on any cartridge. My parents are getting ready to go on a cruise and my mom is a little nervous given that their port of departure is Santiago, Chile. So, I thought this card was just perfect. I used the Life's a Beach cartridge and made the card at 5" and played around with the cruise ship cut(including layers) until it fit over the card feature. The title was cut at the 41/2" Fit to Page and then cut apart. I offset layered the white and blue for the title and the waves. I also added some Patina stickles in the windows. A little personal sentiment inside along with a prayer and off they go to South America. Bon Voyage!
