Love the Target Dollar Spot

A few months back I was at Target and found these cute Hello Kitty playing cards and ribbon. Wasn't sure what I was going to do with them (my daughter is past that age) but they were too cute to pass up for a buck. Shortly thereafter, my daughter came home with a cat. "But Mom, somebody just dumped these kittens. And they can't find a home for this one." That's what happens when your daughter's friend works for a vet. Anyway, all dressed up for the dance she wanted to take a picture with her kitty. Here it is with the cards, Hello Kitty Greetings cuts and some ribbon. Aahhh.

BBTB2 and the cutting Cafe

Bitten by the Bug 2 and The Cutting Cafe have set up a spring challenge that must have orange in it. So I found this excellent paper pack at Joann's by DCWV called Flower Shower Spring Stack. Then Monique at Monkey Doodle Cricut said we could scraplift from her flower power layout so I tried my hand. Cuts are from Paisley, Walk in My Garden, Home Decor(swirl), and Hello Kitty Greetings. I love all the spring colors. Solid cardstock is from my stash. All the above mentioned blogs are amazing. Check them out.

BBTB2 Elephant

I love finding new images on carts and this one is really cute. It was mentioned on the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. The elephant is from Everyday Paper Dolls along with the umbrella and rain boots. The sun and clouds are from Hello Kitty Greetings but I needed them for a happy elephant.

SPCC #36

The scouts are the only thing I can think of with banana, moss and caramel.. Sounds like a bad camping meal. Anyway, I used my son's crossover to highlight the cool paper I found at the LSS. With the colors suggested, it turned out pretty cool. The red and blue really pops out of the pictures. The fleur d' leis from Home Decor, fire from Camp Out, and unpainted chipboard letters matched perfectly.

SPCC #36 and Just Buggin'

Samantha put out another tough challenge for me at SPCC. Colors I don't usually think of when doing a layout (except scouts) or a card. They were creamy caramel, barely banana, and mellow moss. I had made this bee from Walk in My Garden before so that is where I started. I used the moss color as a background and cuttlebugged it with the a leaf pattern(don't have the name) for the Just Buggin' Challenge. The card paper is barely banana. Three dots of gun metal stickle and it's done.

Christmas Cookies

I made these cute little boxes for my daughter to give to her friends filled with cookies. They turned out so cute. Cuts from the From My Kitchen, Christmas Noel?and Winter Woodland carts. I used the boxes from the corsages that the girl's got for the homecoming dance.

Christmas Teacher Gifts

I made the teacher's gifts this year a hot chocolate feast. The brown bag wrapped gift has A Child's Year cut on it. This is the box of Swiss Miss packets. The bottles have chocolate "chips" and marshmallows(steam cut From My Kitchen). The peppermint sticks were wrapped with ribbon and the "stir" cut is From My Kitchen. The inexpensive bag was blinged with a cut from one of the Christmas carts(I've forgotten). They were quite a hit.

Blue and Gold

My son had his Cub Scout Blue and Gold banquet last night and he needed to make a place mat. Boy Scouts is celebrating 100 years this year. We used cuts form Wild Card, Home Decor and Plantin Schoolbook. I think he did a pretty good job. And, of course, I'm going to use it in his scrapbook.

Geography Bee

I did this for a my LSS. My son was in the school Geography Bee so I wanted to scrap about it. Inside the Passport I wrote all the answers to his questions he had to answer along with some travel stamps. (Wish I had pics.) And I put his picture in from the bee. The outside is decorated with cricut cuts. I used my I-top for the little, blue bird brad. Man I love that thing. I stamped the black, luggage tag with gold and added the coin for bling.

Valentine's already?

I haven't taken or had the time to post in almost two months. Where does time go? Part is I started a part time job and that has thrown me for a little bit of a loop. I've been over volunteering for years but most stuff could be done from home when I could squeeze it in. Now I have to go to a place of business and be dressed and showered!! Anyhow., I haven't stopped crafting just blogging about it. So for Valentine's day I had to decorate thos cute little Target mailboxes and make a jar of kisses for display. And a cute Valentine card. Don't you love that frog?
